DC Role:
Project Partner
1 Jan 2016 - 31 Dec 2021
European Commission, Directorate General for Research & Innovation (H2020)

DC is one of 39 partners in EU-ToxRiskAn Integrated European ‘Flagship’ Programme Driving Mechanism-based Toxicity Testing and Risk Assessment for the 21st century.

It integrates advancements in cell biology, omics technologies, systems biology and computational modelling to define the complex chains of events that link chemical exposure to toxic outcome. Our tasks are: the development of a knowledge infrastructure facilitating easy sharing of scientific information and results within the scientific community; advanced modelling to support the EU-ToxRisk case studies including the development of quantitative adverse outcome pathways; and working on the regulatory acceptance and commercialization of the project results.

These are performed in cooperation with our main partners EMBL-EBI, TNO and Universtät Wien as well as Fraunhofer ITEM, Universität Konstanz and BioDetection Systems.
